I am a PhD student in the CMC Unit at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics. My research interests lie at the intersection of artificial and natural intelligence, with a particular focus on the computational principles underlying navigation and decision making in naturalistic environments.
Before starting my PhD, I studied Physics and Biophysics at the Technical University of Munich and spent semesters abroad at the University of Minnesota and Tsinghua University. During my master’s thesis in Computational Neuroscience at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, I studied predictive neural activity during spatial navigation using continuous attractor network models, with a particular focus on grid cells and recurrent neural dynamics.
